Day 69: Project.

For the past couple weeks, I feel like I've been floundering a wee bit. Can't seem to come up with new ideas. What struck me, as I was laying in my bed at 3:00 this morning trying to go back to sleep, is that what I really want to do is expound on some of the things I've already written and turn them into more serious projects. I'm interested in working harder on Clementine, as well as the Father Christmas story, and possibly more historical fiction in the vein of Chiddingly. If any of you have something you'd like to see me work on, shoot me a quick comment and let me know! Otherwise, start looking for entries that are chapters or installments in a story. (Woohoo!)

Great idea! You've had a lot of posts recently that left us "wanting more", so go for it!

Good luck!

I agree- let your imagination run and see where it takes you in character and story development. Probably my favorite story of all was the one about the white silk skirt, and the most tender journal entry the one on death and your miscarriage. That being said, what I love most of all, and look forward to with delight, are your fun, funny journal type entries detailing with the foibles of daily life. I loved the tupperware piece, and your more recent piece on your little crows feet wrinkles and the resulting trip to the wet n' wild sale at rite-aid. You have a natural sense for the humor in situations and parenting that so many identify with- in my opinion it's your best style. Denise
